Termination of 50 and 1000 Rupee Note

The State Bank of Pakistan has ordered to discontinue the use of old designed 50 and 1000 rupee currency note from 1st November, 2013.According to the orders given by the State Bank of Pakistan, all the Commercial and Microfinance banks will cease the issuance of old designed 50 and 1000 rupee currency note from 1st November, 2013.
However, it has been told and confirmed that the currency notes which are already in circulation in the markets will maintain their particular value.
